Creative Calm is a gentle, nourishing workshop offering two distinct yet complementary meditation practices—one expressive, one deeply restorative—to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and inner ease.
We’ll begin with mindful art, an intuitive, meditative drawing practice that uses simple lines, shapes, and color to quiet the mind and engage the body in a state of focused calm. No art experience is necessary. This practice invites expression without analysis, allowing thoughts and emotions to move and soften through creativity.
From there, we’ll transition into Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation practiced lying down that leads you into a state of profound rest while remaining gently aware. Often called “yogic sleep,” Yoga Nidra supports deep relaxation, integration, and a felt sense of safety and wholeness.
Together, these practices offer two pathways into meditation:
Creative expression to release and explore
Intentional rest to restore and integrate
This workshop is open to all levels and especially supportive for those who find traditional seated meditation challenging or who are craving a softer way to slow down.
